2005 Southwest ABE
GED Graduation

The SW ABE graduated 17 students at a ceremony on May 17 at the Granite Falls campus of Minnesota West Community and Technical College.

The Graduation Address was given by Dr. Diane Graber, Provost and Academic Vice President of Minnesota West Community & Technical College.  She presented an inspiring message to the graduates.  Dr. Graber noted that approximately 500,000 students pass the GED test each year and that 700,000 take the test each year,  We congratulate these graduates on their fine  accomplishment.

Amanda Gates presented the student address and spoke of her journey of dropping out of school and then 9 years later, after studying for the GED, she passed the test this year.

Participating in the program were Karla Roisen, Master of Ceremonies and SW ABE Granite Falls Regional Director, Joan Lundell, pianist, Rebecca Weber, vocalist, and the GED Teachers of each of the SW ABE Districts.
