MARSHALL ABE STUDENTS SEE THE CAPITAL CHRISTMAS TREE

Some of the students at the Marshall ABE recently took time off from their studies to go see the Capital Christmas as it passed through Marshall on it's way to Washington, D.C.  Over 600 people came to the park at Main and West College Drive to see the tree and view the celebration ceremony.

The tree, carried on a flatbed truck from the state of Idaho, traveled through Marshall on Wednesday, November 26.

Here are pictures of our little "field trip."

ABE students brave the cold to attend the tree ceremony.

The tree measured 61 feet high.  It was covered in plastic to protect it.

The tree weighed 11,000 pounds and was 73 years old when it was cut down.
